Phase 3: Packaging Sourcing, Compatibility, and Artwork Approval (10 to 16 Weeks)

Packaging lead times represent the primary cause of product launch delays, running concurrently with formula stability testing. Custom-colored airless pumps, frosted glass bottles, or multi-layer PCR tubes sourced internationally require 12 to 16 weeks for tooling, sample sign-offs, production, and transit. Domestic stock packaging is significantly faster at 2 to 4 weeks, but secondary decoration like silk-screen printing or foil hot-stamping adds extra lead time.

Container compatibility testing must take place in parallel with 12-week stability testing. Phase 4: Raw Material Sourcing, Scale-Up, and Final Quality Control (6 to 8 Weeks)

With a locked formula, validated packaging, and passing stability data, full-scale production sourcing begins. Purchasing production-scale raw materials in multi-kilogram drums can take three to six weeks depending on global supply chains.
