Getting Started
Our minimum order quantity starts at 250 units per SKU. This makes us ideal for emerging brands, product launches, and market testing — you don’t need to commit to thousands of units before you know your product will sell.
Yes — we offer a free 15-minute intro call to discuss your project, goals, and budget. This call is completely no-obligation and helps us both determine whether we’re the right fit for your needs. You can book directly through our contact page.
We work with a wide range of clients: solo entrepreneurs launching their first product, estheticians creating a branded line, established beauty brands expanding their range, and wellness brands adding skincare to their portfolio. If you’re serious about quality and want a boutique lab partner, we want to hear from you.
Custom formulation is best if you want a truly original formula that you own — unique ingredients, specific performance targets, or a signature texture. Private label is better if you want to launch faster using a proven base formula that we customize to your brand. We’ll help you decide on your intro call.
Formulation & Development
The full process — from initial brief to approved formula — typically takes 8–16 weeks depending on complexity, the number of revision rounds, and stability testing requirements. We provide a detailed timeline at the start of your project.
Yes. For custom formulation projects, full intellectual property ownership of the formula is transferred to your brand upon project completion and final payment. Your formula is yours — we will not sell it to other clients.
We formulate across skincare (serums, moisturizers, cleansers, masks, toners, eye creams, SPF), body care (body oils, lotions, scrubs, butters), haircare (shampoos, conditioners, scalp treatments, masks), and lip care (balms, serums, glosses). If you have a specific product in mind, ask us.
We can formulate with natural, organic, clean, vegan, or performance-driven ingredient profiles depending on your brand positioning. We source from reputable suppliers and can provide full ingredient traceability on request.
Standard projects include 2–3 initial prototype variations and up to 2 rounds of refinement. Additional revision rounds can be accommodated at an additional cost. We work until you’re satisfied with the formula.
Manufacturing & Production
Formyoule™ operates as a turnkey boutique lab. We are not a Health Canada licensed site or cGMP certified facility. We focus on small-batch, high-quality production with rigorous in-house quality control. We provide full batch records for every production run. Additional documentation is available upon request.
Turnkey means we handle the entire production process end-to-end: formulation, sourcing of raw materials, mixing, filling, sealing, labelling, and quality inspection. You receive a shelf-ready product — no need to coordinate multiple vendors.
Production typically takes 4–8 weeks from formula approval, depending on batch size, packaging lead times, and our production schedule. We’ll give you a specific timeline when you place your production order.
Every production batch includes full batch records documenting the batch number, production date, ingredient specifications, and quality control results. Additional documentation such as a Certificate of Analysis is available upon request.
Packaging & Labelling
Yes. We can source packaging options — bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, droppers, and more — that fit your brand aesthetic and budget. We work with trusted packaging suppliers and can provide samples for your review.
Yes. We provide guidance on label compliance for Canada (Health Canada cosmetic regulations), the US (FDA cosmetic labelling), and the EU (EC 1223/2009). This includes INCI ingredient list preparation, bilingual requirements for Canada, and cosmetic claims review.
Yes. If you have already sourced your own packaging, we can work with it — provided it meets the technical requirements for our filling equipment. We’ll confirm compatibility during the project briefing.
Pricing & Process
Pricing depends on the service type, formula complexity, batch size, and packaging requirements. We provide a detailed quote after your intro call and project brief. There are no hidden fees — everything is itemized and transparent.
Yes. We ship worldwide. International shipping costs and import duties are the responsibility of the client. We can advise on documentation requirements for cross-border shipments.
Absolutely. We’re designed to grow with you. Once your formula is approved and your initial batch is complete, scaling up is straightforward — we retain your master formula and batch records for future production runs.
Private label means we develop a formula specifically for your brand — you own the formula and it is exclusive to you. White label means you choose from a selection of pre-developed, ready-to-fill formulas that can be branded under your name. White label is faster and lower cost; private label gives you full differentiation and IP ownership.
Custom formulation fees vary based on product complexity, number of prototype iterations, and the depth of R&D required. We provide a transparent, itemized quote after your intro call. There are no hidden fees — development, sampling, and revision rounds are all clearly scoped upfront.
White Label & Private Label
White label manufacturing means you select from a library of pre-developed, tested formulas and launch them under your own brand name. It is the fastest path to market — no R&D time required. You choose the formula, we fill it into your chosen packaging, apply your label, and ship it to you.
Minor adjustments such as fragrance, colour, or texture can sometimes be made to white label formulas. For more significant changes — active ingredient additions, pH adjustments, or texture reformulation — we recommend a custom formulation project to ensure stability and performance are maintained.
White label projects can move from brief to shelf-ready product in as little as 4–6 weeks, depending on packaging lead times and your label artwork readiness. It is the fastest route to launching a skincare product under your own brand.
White label formulas are not exclusive — they are available to multiple clients. If exclusivity is important to your brand positioning, we recommend a custom formulation project, where the formula is developed specifically for you and not offered to other clients.
Regulatory & Compliance
Yes. Under the Cosmetic Regulations (Canada), cosmetic products must be notified to Health Canada within 10 days of first sale. We can guide you through the notification process, including preparing the required INCI ingredient list and product information.
INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) is the standardised naming system used on cosmetic labels worldwide. Every cosmetic product sold in Canada, the US, and the EU must display ingredients in INCI format, listed in descending order of concentration. We prepare the INCI list for every formula we develop.
Yes. We provide regulatory guidance for Health Canada (Canada), FDA cosmetic labelling requirements (US), and EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009 (Europe). Each market has specific labelling, prohibited substance, and notification requirements — we help you navigate all three.
A CPSR is required for cosmetics sold in the EU and demonstrates that the product is safe for human use. It must be prepared by a qualified safety assessor. If you are planning to sell in the EU, we can advise on the process and connect you with qualified assessors.
Brand Strategy & Growth
Absolutely. Most of our clients are brand founders, entrepreneurs, and wellness professionals — not cosmetic chemists. Our role is to bring the scientific expertise so you can focus on your brand vision, marketing, and customer relationships. We guide you through every step of the formulation and manufacturing process.
Larger contract manufacturers typically require minimum orders of 5,000–50,000 units, have long lead times, and offer limited direct communication. Formyoule™ is a boutique lab — we start at 250 units, offer direct access to the cosmetic scientist leading your project, and treat every client as a long-term partner rather than a purchase order.
Yes. Many of our clients develop complete product lines with us — from a hero serum to a full skincare routine. We ensure formulation consistency across the line, with complementary textures, scent profiles, and ingredient synergies that reinforce your brand identity.
Yes. We work with brands globally — from the US, UK, France, Australia, and beyond. Our manufacturing is based in Toronto, Canada, and we ship worldwide. We can also advise on import documentation and regulatory requirements for your target market.
Yes — and we encourage it. We offer a free 15-minute introductory call to understand your project, answer your questions, and determine whether we are the right fit. There is no obligation. Book directly through our website or email us at info@formyouleinc.com.
Wellness & Aromatherapy
Yes. Wellness is one of our growing categories. We develop body oils, botanical balms, massage oils, aromatherapy blends, and ritual self-care products. Whether you want a calming lavender balm or a warming muscle rub, we can create a formula tailored to your brand’s wellness positioning.
Absolutely. We work extensively with essential oils, carrier oils, and botanical extracts. All formulations comply with IFRA guidelines for fragrance safety, and we can advise on appropriate usage levels for leave-on versus rinse-off products.
Minimum order quantities for wellness products start from 250 units for private label formulas and 500 units for custom formulations. We specialise in small-to-medium batch manufacturing, which makes us ideal for wellness brands launching their first product or testing a new SKU.
Yes. We regularly develop vegan, natural, and clean formulations. We can work within specific ingredient restrictions — no parabens, no synthetic fragrance, no mineral oil — and help you build a product that aligns with your brand values and target customer expectations.
Pet Care
Yes. Pet care is a growing category we actively support. We formulate and manufacture pet shampoos, coat conditioners, paw balms, grooming sprays, and soothing treatments. All pet care formulations are developed with pet-safe ingredients and appropriate pH levels for animal skin.
Yes. Pet care products in Canada and the US are regulated differently from cosmetics, but we apply the same rigorous safety standards to all our formulations. We use only pet-safe ingredients, avoid common irritants, and can provide formulation documentation to support your product claims.
We develop a wide range of pet grooming and care products: gentle shampoos for sensitive coats, leave-in conditioners, detangling sprays, paw and nose balms, soothing oatmeal washes, and botanical grooming blends. If you have a specific product in mind, we are happy to discuss feasibility on a discovery call.
Pet care products follow the same MOQ structure as our other categories: from 250 units for private label and from 500 units for custom formulations. We are well-suited to boutique pet brands launching their first product line with small, high-quality batches.
Pricing & Timeline
Costs vary depending on the service type. Private label manufacturing from a proven base formula is the most cost-effective route, typically ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on volume and packaging. Custom formulation from scratch involves R&D fees plus production costs. We provide a detailed quote after your free intro call once we understand your product vision and volume requirements.
Private label products — using our proven base formulas — can be ready in as little as 4–8 weeks from formula selection to finished product. Custom formulation from scratch typically takes 8–16 weeks including stability testing. Full turnkey projects (formulation + packaging + labelling) can range from 12–20 weeks depending on complexity.
We accommodate expedited timelines on a case-by-case basis depending on current production capacity. Please mention your launch deadline on your intro call and we will advise on feasibility. Planning ahead with a 12–16 week lead time is always recommended for the smoothest launch experience.
Yes. A deposit is required to initiate formulation or production work. The deposit structure is outlined in your project agreement. We accept payment by credit card and bank transfer in CAD or USD.
Packaging & Branding
Yes. We can guide you through packaging selection based on your formula’s compatibility, target market, and brand aesthetic. We work with a network of packaging suppliers and can recommend options that fit your budget and MOQ. Final packaging sourcing and procurement is the client’s responsibility, but we provide full compatibility guidance.
Yes. You are welcome to source your own packaging. We will confirm compatibility with your chosen containers before production begins to ensure the formula and packaging are a proper match for stability and functionality.
We do not offer graphic design services, but we provide regulatory label guidance including required INCI ingredient lists, mandatory claims language, and compliance requirements for your target market (Canada, US, EU, etc.). We recommend working with a cosmetic-experienced graphic designer for the visual design of your label.
